Motoman Press Tending Robot Series

The six-axis, Motoman EPH4000D is designed for press room use as it is an "Expert Press Handling” robot that has high vibration ratings. It is shelf-mounted and features a 200 kg payload, 3,505 mm horizontal reach, and a 2,629 mm vertical reach. This extended reach enables these robot to conduct presses with press pitches of up to 9 m. The EPH4000D is a slender robot that allows it to fit and work into tight spaces, while also saving valuable floor space. It features aluminium castings to reduce inertia and can reach 12 strokes per minute with a press pitch of 6.5 m. To minimize the heat generated during high duty cycle press tending, the EPH4000D has fans on more axes.

If needed, there are additional options available such as the Parallel Link Tool (PLT) that extends the robot's reach by 1,650 mm. while also reducing interference between robot arm and the die. The PLT also allows the dies to be loaded at the same time, otherwise they need to be rotated 180 degrees.
